Dr. Torea’s neurology office opened in January 2019, following the retirement of Dr. Olivier Juge. The medical practice is located very close to the theatre of La Comédie de Genève in the area of Plainpalais, between the complex of Geneva University Hospitals and the University of Geneva.

Dr Ana Torea

Neurologist (FMH Swiss Medical Association)

Dr. Torea began her training in the field of neurology in 2005. Since 2010, she is a specialist in compliance with the Swiss Commission on Medical Professions (MEBEKO). As a certified neurologist, Dr. Torea continued her activity the Department of Neurology at Lausanne University Hospital (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, CHUV). From 2011 to 2017, she worked as a senior attending physician at the Neurorehabilitation Hospital of the Lavigny Institution. In 2018, she completed specialized training in vascular neurosonology in the Department of Neurology of the Valais Hospital (Hôpital du Valais – Sion). Following 14 years of clinical practice in neurology, Dr. Torea established herself as an independent neurologist in Geneva. She is a member of the Fédération des médecins suisses and theAssociation des Médecins de Genève. Dr. Torea is fluent in French, Spanish and English; her level in Portuguese is conversational.

Diane Desmarty Falciola

Graduated in General Nursing Care

Ms. Desmarty Falciola graduated in general nursing care in 1995 (Chantepierre Nursing School of Lausanne University Hospital, CHUV). Since then, she has gathered continuous and extensive experience in diverse areas of sanitary assistance, notably in emergency room and surgical activity. Her professional background also includes assistance for patients in dependence situations as well as home nursing for preventive, curative or palliative care. Due to her social focus of nursing, where psychological support is crucial, she acquired the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Conflict Mediation in 2017 (CAS HES-SO). Ms. Desmarty Falciola began to work in Dr. Torea's neurology office upon its inauguration in January of 2019. She is in charge of the administration of parenteral immunotherapy for the treatment of neurological disorders, as indicated by Dr. Torea. She has also been specifically trained in the technical preparation and recording of electroencephalograms (EEG).

How can you organize your consultation?

Consultations take place by appointment. We are available by phone on weekdays from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 (Wednesdays from 8:00 to 12:00). 

We need the following for your consultation:

  • The name of your primary physician or family doctor
  • The reason for consultation and your symptoms
  • Your actual medication list
  • As far as possible, your previous exams (X-Ray, MRI, and CT-Scan, laboratory testing)
